HV Holtzbrinck Ventures is a pioneering investor in the European start-up scene. From the moment of its inception to date, it has backed hundreds of entrepreneurs building transformative businesses across various sectors. The team at HV engaged Amsterdam Berlin to develop their new brand, positioning, guiding principles and design to continue to capture and inspire their audience of innovators.
HV Capital was born out of one of the world’s largest publishing companies, the Holtzbrinck Verlagsgruppe, whose work is dedicated to the progress of science, education and culture. This heritage has always guided the brand’s actions and has been a guarantor for success.
While the organisation embraces innovation they don’t follow trends. Where others are reckless, they are considerate. HV creates long lasting perspectives.
The name HV Capital led to a bold new design direction to inspire continued confidence alongside the company’s already established experience. The project delivery included:
– a comprehensive Brand Book consisting of an Overview (Brand Positioning, Brand Story, Tag Line, Brand Promise, Brand Pillars),
– the Visual Identity (Typography, Wordmark, Brand Color Scheme, Imagery, Packaging, Iconography, Tone of Voice, UI Principles),
– Applications (Presentations, Documents, Flyers, Key Online UX and UI Elements, Main Page on Mobile and Desktop, Social Media, Stationery, Merchandise).
Unique to this project were ways to feature and storytell the business founders through striking photography and website content.
HV Capital launched in October 2020.
